We are confident that you will feel exactly that when you meet our team. We are a small team with a big heart. We all truly LOVE what we do. We are all down to earth with a focus on providing the most relaxed, fun and friendly environment. Our door is open to everyone and creating a safe and inclusive environment is our priority; Every bride deserves the absolute best experience from the moment you walk through the door. So, get ready to laugh and in some cases cry (happy tears of course) as we help you on your bridal journey down the aisle.

Owner, stylist

Hi queen,

Welcome to Velvet queen, I am Nicola and I am the owner and lead stylist here. I founded Velvet queen back in 2017, where we actually started life as The Bridal Dressing Rooms, we started as a studio in a small converted office in Havant.

I started with a simple vision to dress brides from head to toe and over the years we have grown and evolved into so much more. I feel blessed to have been a small part in so many brides’ big day and I look forward to hopefully being part of yours too.

Assistant Buyer and shop assistant

Hi, I am Josette and I am Nicola’s mum. I have been by Nicola’s side from the Birth of The Bridal Dressing Rooms and Velvet queen. I have loved watching Nicola grow the business and I am proud that we have helped dress so many brides over the years. I take care of the shop and keep it looking perfect, I am not around so much day to day now but I am always there behind the scenes.

My favourite part of my role is helping Nicola choose all of the new wedding dresses and accessories and accompanying her on the buying trips.

Event Planner

Hey, I am Dom and I am the event planner for Velvet queen and I am Nicola’s sister. I love planning luxe events and I like to think grand and out of the box. You probably won’t see me in the shop day to day but if you attend any of our exclusive bridal events, I will usually be there front and centre.
