You are invited to Velvet queen’s largest ever bridal sample sale; Taking place from Saturday 19th November to Sunday 27th November. The majority of dresses will be £499 and under meaning you could save yourself up to £1,500 on your dream dress! With over 100 dresses in the sale, from sizes 8 to 28 you are sure to find the perfect dress.
Appointments are limited during the event so book your appointment now to avoid disappointment. Appointment duration will be limited to 1 hour. For a sneak peak of the dresses included in our Black Friday bridal sample sale pop over to our Instagram stories. We will not be able to hold any dresses during the sale event, so prepare to say yes when you find the one. All dresses will be sold on a first come first served basis, so the early bird really does catch the worm.
Brides will be permitted to bring up to 2 guests with them in store. We strongly recommend brides arrive on time but no earlier than 10 Minutes before. Appointment times are strict and we will not be able to extend appointments due to lateness.
All dresses are sample dresses that are new but have been tried on in store. In some instances, samples may have minor flaws or marks but can all be worn without the need for repair or cleaning. You will have the chance to inspect your dress before taking her home alongside our stylist who will point out any existing flaws. Please note that refunds are not available after a dress has been purchased. Sale prices will only be honoured during the sale event.
Sale FAQs
A bridal sample sale is where we sell off our dresses that we have in store. Some of the bridal wear will be discontinued, some will be current bridal wear that that we are selling to make room to house new bridal wear. A sample sale is a great way to find your perfect dress at a bargain price. Samples are sold off the rail and are ready to take home on the day.
Absolutely not. A sample is bridalwear that we have housed in store for brides to try on, occasionally the dresses have been used in photoshoots to create marketing material. We take great care of all our samples and most will be in excellent condition and can be worn without any cleaning or repair. Occasionally a dress may have a fault or a mark, we will always point out any imperfections and the price will be reduced accordingly. All sales are final.
No. We take the utmost care of our samples to keep them in as pristine condition as possible. It doesn’t mean that occasionally there might be the odd bit of wear and tear but all dresses sold in our sale can be worn without repair or cleaning. Any minor imperfections can usually be corrected. We are super transparent about the condition of all our bridalwear, and you will be notified of any flaws at the point of sale. Upon purchasing the goods, you are accepting them as seen and we will not be able to offer any refunds or exchanges for minor wear and tear flaws.
We have dresses available from a size 8 to 28 in our sale. Our sale dress page can be filtered by size so that you can see what dresses we have available in your size. Bridal sizes can differ from high street sizing, they generally run 1 to 2 dresses small and we recommend using your dress size in non-stretchy jeans as a base. We can also generally alter bridal wear down by up to 2 sizes. We recommend looking at dresses at your normal size to up to 3 sizes bigger in general but this will greatly depend on the silhouette of the dress, your proportions and the general cut of the dress. Your stylist on the day will be able to ensure the correct size dresses are selected.
During our sample sale event we can only accommodate up to 2 guests with you at a time.
During our sale event all dresses are priced below £699 with the majority at £499, saving you up to £1500. Payment is due in full on the day and we do not offer the option to reserve dresses.
All dresses are sold off the rail and are available to take home with you on the day, however if you have some time before your big day or if you would rather, we can arrange to store your dress for you. There is a one-off £50 fee for storage.
Yes. We can generally alter a wedding dress by up to 2 sizes, and we can potentially look at increasing the size of a dress by adding things like corset backs etc. Dresses can also be customised by adding sleeves, straps, beading, lace etc. Your stylist will be able to give you more information about altering a dress at your appointment.
